Beautiful Lake but didn't catch any fish
A nice little spot right off of Highway 34. There is a good boat ramp and pretty places to put a line in.
Beautiful fall foliage. A tucked away little lake right off the beaten path. A small parking area of maybe 8 or 10 spots, has an accessible ramp up to the lookout platform on top of the hill which is surrounded by what I believe is big blue stem native grass. A dirt/gravel path leads down to the lake where there are a couple of intimate little areas to access the lake. There is also an area to launch small fishing boats on the west end of the lake.
I wish they had camping here but the county doesn't own all the land around the lake. There is a gravel boat ramp and small floating dock. There is a observation post up above the ramp area. I assume the typical fish that are found in the area such as largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, carp; I don't know if there are any other types of fish in the lake, I've never fished there.
